Submitting It

The presentation requirements before it goes in. Most of these are easy marks - do not throw them away.

Criterion G (Presentation) is worth 2 marks and Criterion F (Structure) is worth 2 marks. Together they are four marks that require no additional thinking - just correct formatting. Go through the checklist below before you hand anything to Sam.

Criterion G: Presentation requirements

The following must be present and correct. Each one is either there or it is not.

1

Title page

Must include all four of the following:

  • The research question (written out in full)
  • The name of the organization
  • The word count
  • The chosen key concept (Change, Creativity, Ethics, or Sustainability)

Missing the key concept on the title page can cost you marks on Criterion A as well as Criterion G. Do not forget it.

2

Table of contents

Must be accurate and paginated. Every heading in the body of the document should appear in the table of contents with the correct page number. Check it last, after all editing is done.

3

Numbered pages

All pages must be numbered. This includes appendices. The title page is typically page 1 but does not display the number.

4

Headings and sub-headings

The three main sections (Introduction, Analysis and Discussion, Conclusion) must be clearly headed. Sub-headings within sections are encouraged and help the examiner follow your argument.

5

Bibliography and citations

All supporting documents and any additional sources cited in the commentary must be fully referenced in a bibliography. Use a consistent referencing style throughout. In-text citations should match the bibliography entries.

6

Supporting documents in the appendix

Each document must be labelled clearly (Document 1, Document 2, etc.) and highlighted where you have drawn on it in the commentary. Documents should be no more than five pages each - if longer, trim to the relevant sections. If a document is not in English, a translation must be provided.
